AST TxAQM COP TQI 2025 Travel Grant

The AST Transplant Administration and Quality Management COP (TxAQM COP) is pleased to offer, for the first time, one Travel Grant to support attendance at the 2025 Transplant Quality Institute (TQI). This grant provides reimbursement of up to $1,000 for eligible expenses, including registration and travel costs.

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a current member of both AST and the TxAQM COP; or
  • Be an individual who is early in their transplant quality or administration career, as defined by the TxAQM COP Early Career eligibility criteria, sponsored by a current member of both AST and the TxAQM COP.

Abstract presentation must have been submitted and accepted (poster or other platform) at TQI 2025 and must be broadly relevant to the field of transplant administration and/or transplant quality management. 

The award applicant must be lead author of the project.

Application Materials 

  • Application 
  • TQI abstract and TQI abstract acceptance letter 
  • Applicant CV or résumé
  • Letter of sponsorship, if submitting as an early career applicant

Judging of Presenter Grant 

At least three (3) members of the TxAQM COP EC will review and score each submission based on the following criteria:

  • Quality of the presentation (1 to 5) 
  • Impact of the presentation on current transplant practice (1 to 5) 
  • Presentation significantly adds to the current body of literature on the given topic (1 to 5) 
  • Presentation addresses an unmet need (1 to 5) 

The award will be made to the highest-scoring submission.

The Society (AST) and TxAQM COP remains committed to a diverse and inclusive culture. The membership is encouraged to consider nominations with an eye towards diversity in age, gender, ethnicity, race, and other underrepresented minorities as defined by AAMC.


The deadline for applications is 11:59 pm EST on July 14, 2025.

Each individual may submit only one application. To be eligible, applicants must be planning to attend the TQI meeting in person and present their research or project.

Individuals selected for a travel grant may also be invited to share their work at AST TxAQM COP Executive Committee meetings and/or other TxAQM COP events. 

Please note that if you have already won a TxAQM COP grant (e.g. ATC, WTC) in the past, you are not eligible.
